About Jebby
Award winning artist, Jebby Potter, is a Contemporary, Abstract Impressionist whose works reflect her spontaneity, energy, and joy. At an early age, her father bought her paints and books on many of the Impressionist Painters. Bonnard and Vuillard with their keen use of color influence her. A solid foundation in Painting and Design from Carnegie Mellon University is evident in Jebby's work.
"I interpret, sometimes adding a line of color against a paint mass... color against color and reflected color are revealed to me as I search the subject. It is a total creative process taking me into a free and focused state of mind. I am always searching to put information. "
Jebby has studios in Indian Wells, CA. and Chautauqua Lake, NY. chasing the good light from season to season.
Jebby's paintings can be found in private collections across the United States including Nantucket, MA; Florida, and California.
Prior to the year 2000, Jebby was the co-founder of THE SWEETWATER ART CENTER, was a member of ABSA - the American Society of Botanical Artists, member of the The Pittsburgh Watercolor Society, and received her certificate in bird biology from Cornell University.
Her works are currently in the MEGHAN CANDLER, VERO BEACH, FL and GRETCHEN’S GALLERY, CHAUTAUQUA, NY.
